blogger open letter to:

Mr. Michaelis,

The story you tell is important & maybe urgent, but please don't fly off the handle. PICTURES & detailed description are WHY you object passionately to a series of bad actions by the Omaha World-Herald: passing on of pictures is an action, & actions (might) have unintended consequences...

Now Mr. Doe is in the Atriosphere, which is national (at least), and you're spot on: a newspaper may have painted a target on a man who chose to be called Mr. Doe with good reason. I hope somehow poynter, buzzflash... editor & publisher? or maybe the OWH's competition? or the ACLU nationally? ...anyway the community can find some way to keep account.

Good on you for getting OWH digits out to the people! May one hope? Does the Omaha World-Herald still have reporters who can somehow um, I don't know, REPORT on Mr. Doe's new-paved way, then? Guilt is a great motivational tool!

Please post a followup, especially if plenty of press local to you don't. A town-size community with enough minutemen (or ungendered equivalent) can hold off any army. Doesn't matter where the community (or the army) are.

Meanwhile Mr. Michaelis, if you have Photoshop or whatever, p'raps you could blur Mr. Doe's LICENSE PLATE NUMBER, 'cause everybody's gotta be somewhere. THNKS.

respectfully,
